{"id":622,"date":"2016-04-11T15:12:05","date_gmt":"2016-04-11T19:12:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bdc.pubinteractive.ca\/nouvelles-evenements\/volunteer-week\/"},"modified":"2025-08-25T12:08:24","modified_gmt":"2025-08-25T16:08:24","slug":"volunteer-week","status":"publish","type":"nouvelles-evenements","link":"https:\/\/lebuffetdescontinents.ca\/en\/news-events\/volunteer-week\/","title":{"rendered":"VOLUNTEER WEEK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text\"><strong>Buffet des Continents honours 788 individuals for their community contributions<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"text\">LAVAL \u2013 Tonight the Buffet des Continents restaurant chain honoured some 788 deserving volunteers in the regions of Quebec City, Trois-Rivi\u00e8res, Sherbrooke, Gatineau, Lanaudi\u00e8re and the Laurentian Mountains as part of its annual volunteer tribute evening.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"text\">This is a yearly event organized by the management of each of the chain\u2019s six restaurants, in collaboration with the leaders of various volunteer organizations, and is intended to honour the most dedicated and deserving individuals in each region during Volunteer Week.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"text\">\u201cThis tribute to volunteers takes place at the same time in all the restaurants; it rewards each region\u2019s volunteers for their exemplary involvement in society,\u201d explains the chain\u2019s spokesperson and owner of the Gatineau restaurant, Tony Priftakis.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"text\">\u201cThe work of these volunteers is vital in our regions. These people are committed, dynamic and innovative, as well as being available and reliable. They are genuine leaders who set an example for others to follow!\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"text\">\u201cThe work of these volunteers is vital in our regions.
