The Christmas stocking campaign Buffet des Continents to benefit pediatric services at regional hospitals has raised 23 146 $ during the holiday season in the new chain restaurants spread in many regions of Quebec.<\/p>\r\n
\"Our commitment to the community has always been important and remains so. Every year, our Christmas stocking campaign is popular because our customers know how much a child's illness is a challenge for them and their loved ones, \"says the marketing director of the Buffet des Continents chain, Sonia Bergeron.<\/p>\r\n
During the first campaigns started in 2004 when there were only four restaurants Buffet des Continents, the funds raised were used to decorate as child care areas to provide audio players for the children to watch their favorite movies and shows during waiting or processing periods.<\/p>\r\n
In recent years, funds raised have been used to acquire state-of-the-art equipment for treating children. Each of the nine restaurants donates approximately $ 20,000 annually to each regional hospital foundation through charitable fundraising initiatives. More than $ 120,000 was donated so strictly by the sale of Christmas stockings.<\/p>\r\n
